On a typical day, I blend it up and take it out the door with me on my way to work. If I manage to restrain from chugging the entire thing on my 4-minute commute, I’m usually slurping the bottom of the glass as I walk to my desk. It’s THAT good.

The earthy flavors of beets and cacao perfectly balance the sweetness and tartness of dark red cherries. I don’t usually sweeten my smoothies but I love to add a scoop of raw honey here. Ingredients

  • ½ banana, frozen
  • ½ cup chopped, frozen beet
  • ½ cup frozen cherries
  • ½ cup frozen cauliflower florets
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 2 Tbs. cacao powder
  • 1 Tbs. hemp seeds (optional)
  • 1 Tbs. maple syrup or honey or 1 date (optional for sweetness)
  • Handful of fresh spinach (optional)
  • 1 cup almond milk

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until combined. Enjoy immediately.
